GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Choose a comfortable vibration level : soft, medium or hard.
  • We recommend using the balls for a few minutes daily when you first start.

HOW TO USE SPIKEY BALLS FOR SPECIFIC CONDITIONS

Plantar Fasciitis and other foot aches and pains

  • Place the spikey ball(s) under your foot immediately under the mid arch.
  • Begin to roll the ball back and forth from one end of your foot to the other.
  • Apply increased pressure for deeper massage.
  • Position the ball immediately at the base of your big toe and begin to roll the ball in rotations around the area.
  • Position the ball across the heel and massage the area in circular rotations.

Shoulder Release

  • Stand upright with your upper back against a wall. Place the spikey ball between your upper back and the wall. If you purchased a quality ball with vibration capacity and a belt strap it will be easier to get the balls into the perfect position and more effective with vibration. Push your body against the wall and begin to roll over the ball(s). Move with gentle circular motions to gradually relax the trigger points and reduce pain. This excercise can assist to reduce shoulder and neck pain and assist to improve your range of movement.

Gluteal Release

  • Lie flat on your back, knees slightly bent, feet flat and place the spikey ball immediately under your buttocks. Gently roll from side to side in a circular fashion until you find a trigger point. If you drop the knee on the painful side to be more flat you will increase the overall pressure and effectiveness. Another option is to stand with the ball between your buttocks and a wall and use your weight to press harder against the ball and therefore locate the trigger point.
